“My Friends,” for years now the pundits have told you “we’re in a recession! We’re in a recession! We’re all gonna die!” For years they’ve been wrong. Completely, utterly, and terribly wrong. But now they’re right.
I’m her… Continue
I think the title gives it away.
I can't find a video of the full, hour-long interview, so here's the best I could find:
Watch CBS Videos OnlineContinue
Of course my blogging for the week would not be complete without a nice video from YouTube.
And this week, what could be better than Barack Obama's victory speech at Midnight on Election Night.
I included the transcript below so you can follow along if you want.
CHANGE HAPPENED
If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders… Continue
*NOTE* I've noticed that a few of my blogs lately aren't getting any comments, probably because they've been very long. I would encourage you to read them anyway, but I know I can't make you. But please read this one. I promise it's not THAT long. I wanted to post my AP Government essay about the First Amendment, because I thought it was really good. I tried to keep this post interesting for you.

For your convenience, I have again scoured the "internets" for important vidoes: the presidential (and vice presidential) debates.
And a few others thrown in for good measure. Including a nice Ayers and ACORN response for Chris.
FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE
VICE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE
I left you guys alone for one week and look what happened: The only political blog came form Chris Portela.
So much for a fair and balanced media.
I have returned, like Nicole, from a rough week. A rough couple of weeks, actually. Turns out Senior year is not as much fun as it's reputed to be. But I digress.
If you haven't watched the Debates, you should. I know I'm a little nuts about politics, but at least I care enough about the future of this country to pay attention and stay informed. Th… Continue
Since her astounding performance on the first episode of Saturday Night Live this season, Tina Fey has made a special guest appearance on SNL episodes in the first segments. To date, she has three amazing pieces of comedic genius for us all to watch.

My Fellow Americans,
I sincerely hope you all watched the Vice Presidential Debate on Thursday, as well as the Presidential Debate last Friday. If nothing else, you've surely heard by now what all the pundits and talking heads have to say. Well, unless you live under a rock or sp… Continue

Now here's a really interesting one. This is a feminist's request to have an anti-Palin movement throughout the country. The intended audience for this email was women, but since I'm more of a feminist than many women, somebody sent it to me. (I might blog about feminism sometime). It aims to get support of women throughout the country who see through John McCain's sexist and condescending move of picking a woman as his runiing mate just because she's a woman.
(For more on the sexism of John Mc… Continue

The Information Revolution that is the Internet may just be the greatest thing since since.... well, ever.
Through the wonderous combination of friends and email, I recently received a few interesting things that I will post here. Yes, I still use email. I'm not into the MyS… Continue
This is a continuation of my last post. Here's the second of my wonderful emails that I'm sharing. This one is a sarcastic rant, which I found very amusing, sent to me by one of my frinds, who I find very amusing. I might edit this post into my own version of the original message to make it sound better (no offense, John) when I have more time, but for now I'm just making good use of the Copy/Paste function.
Here you go:

Yes, you guessed right. This is the John McCain version of my last post.
Don't want the "wrinkly white-haired dude" to get upset about equal media coverage again, do we?

John McCain vs. John McCain
Since I just now figured out how to embed YouTube Videos, I decided I should post some great Obama Speeches on Energy, the Economy, Healthcare, and other issues.
I know not everybody puts in the time to watch National Conventions or Campaign speeches. But I'm putting these great moments here for your convenience.
Barack Obama is one of the greatest politicians of our time. He speaks elequently, has a beautiful message, and has an uncanny ability to bring enormous, enthusiastic crowds wherever… Continue
Oops, I did it again. I tried to write a nice short comment, and just had too much to say. I had to make a new post. And I think this might be my longest one yet, funnily enough.
So without further ado, here's my response to Nicole's "Some of the Real Issues" post, as well as another, hopefully calmer response to another Chris Portela comment. (Don't worry, I'm in a good mood at the moment, so nothing offensive or insulting).
In his defense, I actually sorta agree with him this time.
Ahem. Re… Continue
Consider this my lengthy response to Chris Portela's latest comment on my previous blog post, "John McCain's Biggest Mistake in 72 Years."
No, this is not an offensive post, trying to spark any violent conflicts. Just an exercise in Free Speech and what Chris Matthews likes to call "Hardball."
For anyone other than Chris who wants to enjoy this post, I encourage you to read that post first, including Chris' comment on page 2.

The Internet has spoken. It must be true: Sarah Palin's 17-year-old daughter is pregnant.
Actually, not everything on the Internet is true. But this time, it's on Internet News. American Free Press… Continue
John McCain has all but lost the race for the White House.
In what can only be an incredibly condescending sexist move, John McCain has selected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his VP running mate. His intention was no doubt to give Hillary's 18 million glass ceiling cracks a woman to v… Continue
While eating my bowl of Cheerios this morning, I spent some time reading the Sun-Sentinel, as usual. After trying in vain to get myself into a good mood with some nice, colorful, and theoretically… Continue
