Anxiety

For those of us who decided to apply for early decision, November 1st was crucial for many schools. Some of us procrastinated until the last day to finish up our essays or do the application. However, us, the early applicants are starting to feel the anxiety of receiving responses from our dream colleges. Whether you are applying to an Ivy league school, state university or a community college, the anxiety of receiving a response is the same. This is where our future is going to turn around and lead us in the direction where we want to go. Some of us will make poor choices, some of us, very wise choices. Nonetheless, this is when our future will be directly affected by our decisions.

This anxiety reflects our interest in making the best choices possible. Whether our choice is to go to a community college and get the AA or directly going to a prestigious university. This enormous anxiety ends when we receive our acceptance or rejection letter. It is vital that we don't lose our focus because of the rejection to our dream school. This does not mean we are not good enough, it means it's not meant to be. Everything happens for a reason, and whether we make wise or poor choices, we are always going to end up where we are supposed to. For now, the only thing we have to wait for is time to fly. When our acceptance letters come, which is what we hope for, then our decisions will start making a change in our lives.
