With the releases of The Beatles Rock Band and The Beatles Remastered C.D.s, today was, in a way, a very historic day for music. I am sure the older generation was devastated with their break up back in 1969, and the newer generation of fans feel like they never had the chance to live through one of rock's greatest moments. Fortunately to the old and young, those moments can be relived with The Beatles Rock Band game (for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii). The games feature over 45 songs (with more to download) and if you're familiar with rock band you know that you can either sing, play guitar, bass or jam out on the drums. The graphics look amazing and the video game versions of McCartney, Lennon, Harrison and Starr look superb. With all the playing to do you will have hours of pure Beatle-bliss.
When The Beatles' albums went from the old school vinyl record to the C.D.s many fans complained about the lack of quality that went into the re-recording. But recently a dedicated team of engineers at EMI's Abbey Road Studios in London have finally came out with the re-mastered C.D.s of ALL the Beatles C.D.s in stereo. For the die hard fans, they can purchase the remastered mono C.D. box set which will cost a bit more. Its been said that everything sounds crisp and "real". You'll be able to feel McCartney's bass line and Lennon's vocal cords come shredding in.
It's been a while since The Beatles's heyday, and with solo careers and the deaths of Lennon and Harrison, its seems that the band would've just disappeared and be forgotten. But that never happened, nor will it ever. The Beatles have left impact on music and will always be here to stay. The remasters and rock band game is just a tribute to one of the greatest music acts ever.
