Even though we’re on summer break, we can’t forget about school and the decisions surrounding our lives entirely. As each grade prepares to move up to the next, we must continuously think about the future and what it entails for us: the most important aspect being college.
Though we can thoroughly explore each university’s website and request several pamphlets about the school, nothing compares to the actual experience of a campus tour. It is only when we are in the college’s location that we can gain a real sense of the environment there and what it’s like to live as a student.
It’s almost impossible to determine if you could envision yourself at a school without seeing it first. How could you tell how you’d fit in with the other students or if you like the town in which the college lies?
Browsing through scores of photos online cannot provide you with every detail of the school. These photos only pinpoint certain features, rather than display a holistic representation.
And attending college fairs won’t tell you everything about the college either. Learning statistics and facts can only tell so much.
Though going on college touring trips can sometimes get costly and time-consuming, they are an important factor of deciding what school’s right for you and can make your decision much easier.
