So, I'm about to propose something that will ring
blasphemous in the ears of most of my peers. What if,
What if high school is more than a series of classes? Could it be possible that to some of us, being in high school is
not the worst thing in the world?
I'm probably crazy, but there have to be people like me out there.
Let me explain...
School starts up in august after summer break, and everyone's hating the early mornings, the late nights, piles of homework and never-ending tests. But, as we get back into that routine and all those tests become commonplace, the good parts of HS begin to appear. We
like being away from home for at least 8 hours a day, seeing our friends for lunch, and talking about what we're doing this weekend.
My Point? Some of us (certainly myself included) fall into the schedule of school, home, work, home (..rinse and repeat).
I've gotten so used to always having something to do, always needing to be somewhere for something that as soon as school ended, I didn't know what to do with myself.

The solution? Well, I've spent most of my summer days sleeping in, cleaning my room, hanging with friends, and going to work a few times a week. It's really not much. My plan is to write down everything I want to do this summer, from starting my college essays (yuck) to visiting every beach in South Florida. I also plan on finding out the best places to see indie movies. It's hard keeping busy...but I'll manage. Anyway, it won't be long until I have no choice of what to do. So, I'll enjoy my 3 months of nothing.
